Sadly our intended four day break here in Wells has been abandoned. With the weather forecast predicting even stronger winds and rain for the remainder of our stay we’ve decided to return to Hunter Towers.

A brisk walk to Holkham Beach was the order of today under a sunny sky. A pity about the wind though, as irritating as ever!

Strong winds and heavy rain this morning as we headed to Norfolk. We should have known…… more in the Travelogue.

It’s been all hands on deck this week as “Detlef” has been readied for the first outing of 2019. It’s off to Wells Next the Sea in Norfolk for a few days. See how we get on in the coming days.

All in all it’s been a hectic few days with the Northumberland Tour and E’s birthday celebrations with the clan in Aldeburgh. We’re now back at Hunter Towers.

A hectic two days on tour that started with a six hour drive from Bellingham to Cambridge on Thursday – all on E’s birthday!

On arrival, it was straight off into the centre of Cambridge to celebrate with a most welcome meal!

Friday was again a travel day with the short hop to Aldeburgh where we’ve been joined by the clan for the weekend!

It was off to Kielder Water today  following National Cycle Route 10…… more in the Travelogue.

A quick two hour “hop” today into the Northumberland National Park to Bellingham. There was even enough time to have a quick bike tour of the village and surrounding area.
