Up to date folks but on our travels from Sunday, 5th August so watch this space……

Hard to keep up with the blog at the moment having had poor internet connections all week but we’ve now made it to the Rhein/Main area and I’m pleased to say things are a lot better.

Hopefully yours truly will get some time for the picture gallery update tomorrow.

It’s been extremely hot and very busy here in Germany over the past four days. See the Travelogue for details as yours truly struggles to keep up. The data connection here is patchy at best hence the lack of picture updates…….

Day 9 (July 25) saw us spend a very warm sightseeing tour of Bremen followed by a 15 mile bicycle trip from Lilienthal back into Bremen to visit E’s cousins summer house on the banks of the River Weser.

Day 10 (July 26) was travel day to Beiseförth in Hessen and we are now safely installed at the campsite by the River Fulda.

Day 11 (July 27) saw the bikes once more in operation as we headed out to the north and south along the R1 cycle route. 

On the road again yesterday heading for Lilienthal. Today we had the pleasure of being driven to the Klimahaus 8 Grad Ost in Bremerhaven!

We’re so busy here in Denmark with so much going on yours truly has been pushed to keep pace with the blog……..so here goes…. see Travelogue for more.

Just arrived in Ottersberg (east of Bremen) on Day 2 after a five hour (ish) drive. We thought the UK was bad as far as roadworks are concerned but it seemed today that the whole stretch was “stop and go”……. more in the Travelogue.

A successful but tiring Day 1 of the big tour.  We are currently staying overnight in Wachtendonk, Germany just over the Dutch border…….more in the Travelogue. 

All systems go here at Hunter Towers with final preparations for “Le Tour”…. Like all good heavyweight boxers, Detlef has been on the scales this week and the good news is that we are within the weight limits….just!!

We are on a “two stop” schedule to Denmark.
